Shawano Dam, [1 pier]. Located at Sturgeon Park in Shawano Wi., just downstream of the Shawano Dam. The pier is located on the east bank of the Wolf River. Access is thru Sturgeon Park, north of Co. Rd. M, Follow the city’s signs. Also easy access from Mountain Bay State Trail at the Wolf River Crossing. This is one of the very best sites on the entire river to see the sturgeon spawn in April of every year.
Waupaca Co. Land Conservation Park Pigeon Lake, Clintonville,[1 pier].This park, called the Ice House Landing, is located at the intersection of CTH C and CTH D in downtown Clintonville Wi .With one pier located on the north shore of Pigeon Lake, this park offers a blacktop lot and very good access so that several people can try their luck fishing at the same time. Pigeon Lake offers panfish, northerns, and bass, so something should be biting whenever you get the chance to visit!
Hwy 156, [1 pier]. This pier is on the northwest corner of the STH Highway 156 bridge at the Wolf River east of Clintonville Wi between CTH Y and CTH K. This pier is on DNR owned land and is adjacent to a smallmouth bass habitat project on the west shore of the river. This is a popular shore fishing site with a connected parking area and easy access.
Outagamie Co. Koepke Access [2 piers]. The fishing piers located at Koepke Access Co. Park are on the west bank of the Wolf River north of Shiocton. This site is an easy drive from the Fox Cities. Hwy 76 goes north out of Shiocton towards Bear Creek. Go only 2 miles to Co. Rd. M, and take it to the right [north]. Go another mile and a half north to Koepke Rd. Go right again [east] a half mile to the access site. This County Park includes a lighted and improved concrete boat landing and a large picnic area along with ample parking in the gravel lot. Shore fishing is also an option.
Village of Shiocton, [ 2 piers]. Two fishing piers have been installed at the Wolf River’s edge in the Shiocton Municipal parking lot on STH 76 in downtown Shiocton. Located adjacent to the Village Hall, access is a snap with the area paved and marked. This fishing spot is very close to dining, bait, or just to set a spell on the river bank and unwind.
Bamboo Bend, [ 1 pier ]. Located at the intersection of STH 76 and STH 54 on the west edge of Shiocton. This pier has a gravel parking area and is at the start of the Bamboo Bend Sturgeon spawning site .Good fishing , close to gas, snacks, a meal, or a cold drink. This is just one of several piers in the Shiocton area. Come visit for the day or just a couple of hours, and enjoy the Wolf River!
Outagamie Co. Barker Access, [2 piers]. This pair of piers helps ensure that you won’t be crowded while visiting the Shiocton area. With a gravel parking area and a HUGE!!!! picnic area, this site offers the chance to walk along the Wolf River and enjoy the views. Close proximity to all the bait, drinks, meals and the Wolf River’s scenic views, this is just another spot to try your luck and enjoy your stay in the Shiocton area.
Kirschner Road, [1 pier]. This pier was installed at a popular shore fishing site on WiDNR property. Located 1 mile south of Shiocton on STH76 to Kirchner Rd. Go West to the end of the road at the Wolf River. Again, this is just one of several fishing sites in the Shiocton area, so you won’t be crowded while you try your luck! This site is far from the traveled road and offers a quiet spot to unwind while you catch your lunch.
Outagamie Co. Parks Stephensville Access site,[2 piers]. An improved concrete boat landing, picnic area, lighted gravel parking lot, and a central location to launch your boat are some of the reasons to visit the Stephensville Access. Surrounded by a stand of huge river bottom oaks and maples, this is a beautiful site to visit. The 2 fishing piers will give you room to move around, or you can visit any of the other sites in the Shiocton area. Take STH 76 5 miles south of Shiocton to Co. S and then go west about a mile and a half to the Wolf River. The access site is on the northeast corner of the crossing. Good luck!
Outagamie Co. Parks Buchman Access,[2 piers]. Located 3 miles north of Hortonville on CTH M at the Wolf River, this site has a lighted gravel parking area, an improved concrete boat landing, a picnic area, and close proximity to the Fox Valley. This area is on the southwest corner of the crossing. The Hortonville area is a very popular spring fishing destination, and this landing and pier will give you a good chance to catch the makings for an unforgettable shore lunch. Good luck!
City of New London River Road Access, [1 pier]. Located on River Road just East of New London, River Road is south off Hwy 54 right under the Hwy 45 overpass. This pier is located on the Embarrass River. This site has a dusk to dawn light and a large gravel parking lot.
The latest installation of another handicap accessible fishing pier has been completed. The Sturgeon Trail on County Road X in New London is the location of the new pier. The Sturgeon Trail is considered a Waupaca County park. To get there, take County X West along the Wolf River to the Sturgeon Trail. The pier is located near the West end of the rock spawning site.
Shiocton's Lake Park has one fishing pier. This pier is only for youth and the disabled. This lake is filled with fish so our youth and the disabled can enjoy the fishing experience where there is the likelihood that a fish will be caught.
